Parastou  was born in Iran, grew up in France, and now lives in Montreal, Canada. She studied painting at Tehran University and received a Masters of Arts degree in Visuals Arts and Medias from UQAM in Canada. From there she found her way into the publishing world, and has been working in picture books since 2008. She uses a combination of colored pencils, Acrylic, and pastel. Parastou is keen to work on picture books, board books, book covers, and chapter books.e makes art and picture books for adults and children.
